Business Insider Names Canon Among "15 Most Innovative Companies Of All Time" List

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., June 30, 2011 – Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, today announced that the Company has been ranked number two on the "15 Most Innovative Companies of All Time" list developed by Business Insider. Featuring a range of international technology firms, the Business Insider list recognizes Canon for its significant number of U.S. Patent filings (41,268 in total) as well as the launch of a vast array of innovative products by the Company including the IVSB camera -- the first Canon camera sold in the United States in 1955, the 10-key electronic calculator and the first automatic exposure SLR camera, a predecessor to Canon's current award-winning EOS SLR Digital cameras.
